artist statement

Nature is both my inspiration and my storyteller. As an encaustic mixed media artist, I create paintings that are inspired by memory, observation, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and changing moods of the natural world.

Water especially captivates me—its movement, reflections, and ever-changing light. Using layers of encaustic wax, texture, and mixed media, I build each painting over time, revealing depth and quiet moments of transformation.

My work invites viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the places and memories that have shaped them. I hope each painting offers a sense of calm, wonder, and a lasting connection to the beauty that surrounds us.
